Maintenance Tips
- Watch the Hanger Bearing: This is the only part inside the material flow. Listen for squeaking noises. Replace the bushing before it wears into the shaft.
- Don't Start Full: Always empty the trough before shutting down. Starting a screw conveyor filled with heavy sand can burn the motor.

Q: Can it be installed at an angle?
A: Yes, but efficiency drops. U-trough conveyors work best horizontally or at a low angle (< 20°). For steep angles (> 30°), please use our Tubular Screw Conveyor.
Q: How long does the screw flight last?
A: For standard materials, 2-3 years. For abrasive sand, we can add Hard-Facing welding on the flight edge to extend life.
