Built for the Quarry
The YK Series is the industry standard for primary and secondary screening in crushing plants. Unlike light-duty screens used for food or powder, the YK series is engineered to handle large tonnages of heavy rock.
The "Riveted" Advantage: Many cheap screens fail because their side plates crack. Why? Because they use welding. The Kunwei YK Screen uses High-Strength Huck Bolts (Cold Riveting) to connect the side plates and beams. This creates a stress-free structure that can withstand years of intense vibration without cracking.
Why is it called "Circular" Vibrating Screen?
You might notice the machine body is rectangular. The term "Circular" refers to the motion trajectory of the screen box, not its physical shape.
- The Motion: The eccentric block exciter drives the screen box to move in a circular path.
- The Benefit: This circular motion effectively loosens the material layers, causing large particles to rise and fine particles to fall through the mesh, offering much higher efficiency than linear motion screens for heavy loads.
Key Structural Features
- Eccentric Block Exciter: We use external eccentric blocks rather than just an eccentric shaft. This allows for adjustable amplitude and stronger excitation force, preventing material from blocking the mesh.
- Tire Coupling Connection: Instead of a rigid connection, we use a flexible Tire Coupling to connect the motor and the exciter. This absorbs shock loads, protects the motor bearings, and allows for smoother startup.
- Large Clearance Bearings: Equipped with heavy-duty spherical roller bearings specifically designed for vibration machinery (Low heat, long life).

- Inclination: Installed at a 15° - 20° angle to maximize throughput using gravity.

Screen Mesh Options (Customizable)
The choice of mesh determines your maintenance cycle.
- High Manganese Steel Woven Mesh: The standard choice. Good impact resistance and open area.
- Polyurethane (PU) Mesh: Best for wet/sticky materials or highly abrasive stone. It lasts 3-5 times longer than steel mesh but costs more.
- Perforated Steel Plate: Ideal for the top deck (scalping) to handle huge impact from heavy rocks.
Typical Applications
- Aggregate Quarry: Grading crushed limestone, granite, and basalt into 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm sizes.
- Coal Preparation: Separating raw coal from gangue.
- Construction Waste: Screening recycled concrete for road base.
- Mining: Sizing iron ore or copper ore before grinding.

FAQ
Q: Why is it called a "Circular" screen if the shape is rectangular?
A: Ideally, "Circular" describes the vibration track. If you look at a point on the side plate while it's running, it moves in a circle. If you are looking for a round-shaped separator for fine powder, please check our Rotary Vibrating Screen (XZS Series).
Q: What is the difference between Circular (YK) and Linear (ZK) screens?
A:
- Circular (YK): Better for coarse screening and large capacity (Quarries).
- Linear (ZK): Better for dewatering or fine screening where horizontal conveying is needed.
Q: How do I adjust the vibration amplitude?
A: You can increase or decrease the throw by adding or removing the auxiliary eccentric blocks on the exciter.
Q: Can it handle wet material?
A: Yes. If the moisture content is high (> 7%), we recommend increasing the inclination angle to 20° and using PU mesh to prevent blinding (clogging).
