Product Overview: The "Heart" of Dust Control
In any dust collection system (Baghouse or Cyclone), the discharge point is the weak link. If you just leave a hole, air will leak in (negative pressure) or blow out (positive pressure), ruining the filter efficiency. The Rotary Airlock Valve solves this. It acts like a revolving door: it lets material fall out, but blocks air from passing through.
Sealing Technology
The efficiency of a rotary valve is measured by its Air Leakage Rate.
- Precision Machining: We machine the rotor tips and housing bore to a tolerance of 0.10mm - 0.15mm.
- Minimum Gap: This tight clearance is enough to prevent air bypass but allows the rotor to spin freely.
- Soft Tips (Optional): For fine powders, we can add Rubber or PU tips to the metal blades for an even tighter "zero-leakage" seal.

Typical Applications
- Dust Collectors: Discharge from the hopper of bag filters.
- Cyclones: Bottom discharge for sawdust or grain dust.
- Pneumatic Conveying: Feeding material into a positive pressure blow line.

FAQ
Q: Can I use this for sticky material?
A: Standard rotary valves are not suitable for very sticky sludge. The pockets will fill up and not empty. Please consult us for "Blow-Through" designs.
Q: How to maintain the seal?
A: Over years, the metal tips will wear, and the gap will increase. We recommend checking the clearance annually. If leakage increases, it's time to replace the rotor or the rubber tips.
